Product design lifecycle
Our digital product design service is not limited to crafting beautiful interfaces. It is a complex process of solving a customer’s process through research, brainstorming, prototyping, and validating concepts.
At this stage, we talk to you, our client, gather and analyze your requirements and go through the business idea and user needs. We can organize a kick-off product design workshop to define project scope and synchronize our visions about the product. For ongoing projects, we conduct a UX audit to analyze the product’s usability, relevance and value, and to propose solutions accordingly.
After shaping the understanding of your users and business environment, we start building a user experience strategy. We define points of product interface and user interaction, and we create a foundation for the overall experience. This results in personas, user stories, user scenarios, use cases, IA, and sitemaps which will be the backbone of the future UI.
Now is the time to put everything together in the unique product prototypes. These prototypes include all the transitions, animations, and adaptive design. The client can actually click on them to experience the interaction with the product. At this stage, we prepare and share all the design specification with our development team.
Throughout the digital product development lifecycle, we can test your application in realistic business scenarios. This can be done either with real stakeholders, or with testing groups that simulate typical user behavior. As a result, we reveal possible improvement areas that allow our designers and developers to fix any issues before the product goes live.
Deliverables at each stage
Each stage of our product design lifecycle ends up delivering tangible artifacts that are presented to you for review and validation.
A thoughtful research process helps us to dig deep into your audiences, markets, competitors, and the points of interaction. As a result, we gather insights from the client and develop meaningful project specification.
- UX audit report
- Stakeholder interview
- Competition benchmark
- Surveys and questionnaires
Our product design team creates a relevant design strategy, precisely based on the demands of the business and customers. We consider the design in a holistic manner and build customer personas, touch points, and ecosystems in order to understand how to get the most from your product.
- User stories
- User scenarios
- Use cases
- User flows
- Information architecture
Once we’ve built the foundation of the product’s layout, we start creating a wireframe for every unique screen or page, and then we gather them into a static or dynamic prototype using an adaptive approach. After several iterations, you have a tailor-made, engaging, and user-friendly interface.
- Wireframes and Prototypes
- Logo design and branding
- Interface design
- Interaction design
- Clickable prototypes
We perform usability testing to ensure that your customers are comfortable with the interface of your product, and our design drives conversion. We are capable of creating an in-house and on-site usability testing lab so that our clients can take an active part in the design testing process.
- A/B tests
- User testing
- Remote user testing
- Moderated lab testing
Our approach to designing products
What is a Design Sprint?
Design sprint is a specific step-by-step system for validating hypotheses and completing a product's goals. Typically, a sprint lasts five days of design, prototyping, and testing ideas with customers.
Our team works together with the customer to understand their business problems and customer needs. Any contextual information or past research is welcomed at this stage.01
After choosing the target for a design sprint, we brainstorm the ideas for product improvement. Then, each of the team will sketch the solutions as a part of the product map to implement these ideas.02
At the decide stage, we gather in a group to review everyone’s sketches and decide on which ones are better for achieving the product’s long-term goals. As a result, we’ll weave the winning scenes into a storyboard.03
Next, we’ll turn the storyboard into a low-fidelity prototype to validate the concepts with customers. It’s also the time to prepare for the Test stage by making up a schedule and writing interview scripts for users and customers.04
The last step is to test the prototype with our customers and with the users of the product. We’ll introduce the product, conduct an interview and prepare tasks that will help participants to validate or invalidate ideas.05
